Lisa Estridge's years of experience as a colorist began at LaCoupe, where she developed a firm understanding of what high-profile executive women desire when it comes to color. She honed her ability to create hues that range from the sheerest of blondes to the richest darker tones, acquiring a particular passion for reds, which has become her expertise.
While at LaCoupe, Lisa traveled extensively to national and international hair shows that showcased her work. She went on to join the prestigious Joseph Martin and Oribe salons in Manhattan, forming a following among women who appreciate Lisa's eye for color and warm, inviting approach. Lisa says that her most valuable instruction in understanding the nuances of hair color came under Louis Licari, the self-professed "King of Color," and during her six months of training in London studying with Daniel of London.
"There are many women out there who want to go red but fear the risks of looking either too orange or brassy," says Eliut. "Lisa creates the most perfect shades, never compromising the richness of her colors."
Lisa underscores the importance of communicating with each of her clients to determine to the best color to compliment not just their hairstyle, skin tone and eye color but also their unique personality. "I'm a good listener and it's important to listen carefully to discover exactly what each client wants and expects," she says. She then puts her talent to work, finessing and fine-tuning the ideal color that accentuates all aspects of her client's look and lifestyle.
